Our wedding

2003 December 06

Created by Sian 12 years ago
At Salem Baptist Chapel in Tonyrefail, followed by a reception in Caerphilly Castle. Phillip was very proud of his family's involvement as founding members of the chapel, and their continued involvement over generations. There was only one place we were going to get married. Phillip thought I had jilted him because I was so late getting there. Brandy (our labrador) had managed to get out of the house and wouldn't come in. My father and I had to try and tempt her in with some ham so we could get to the church. We think she may have been a bit annoyed because she wasn't invited. At the reception the DJ hadn't brought the music for our dance. As the night went on, and Phillip got a little tipsy shall we say, we ended up having a dance (he never got on the dance floor unless he was VERY drunk) but it was to Bon Jovi, 'Livin' on a Prayer.' Phillip has always loved his soft rock. Phillip said it was the happiest day of his life (later to be superseded by Benjamin's birth).
